This area was named Ka-Liba, after the Liba clan which was led by Liba Dlamini. The Liba clan settled in this area and ruled over it.

The name of the area the ICBC site is in Kancesi is called Gangakhulu, meaning troublesome. It was named that because the people in this community were too mischievous

Mabhukwini was under a Chief called Chief Lusendvo Fakudze but now it is currently under no Chief yet it is still under the books of Law. The word ‘’Books’’ is translated “Emabhuku’’ hence the name Mabhukwini came about.

Mangcongco is known for its cold winter. It is also land that is good for farming.

The name 'Mlindazwe' was a name given to a Chiefdom. The area was named after the Chiefdom. This place boasts exquisite panoramic views, staggering mountains and rivers. It is home to the Mlindazwe ICBC. Established in 2020, the Mlindazwe ICBC is led by Pastor Phendulile and has been bringing help and hope to the Mlindazwe Community.  The ICBC (In Community By Community) strategy is designed to address the multifaceted needs of these communities through a holistic approach that includes spiritual, educational, health, and economic interventions. By establishing a church, a preschool, a pastor’s home, and a solar-powered water source at each site, ICBC provides the infrastructure and support needed to empower communities while fostering sustainability and a sense of community ownership.

Nsubane is situated along the Lebombo mountain separating us to our neighbouring country, South Africa.

It is said that the area now known as “Nyamane” was once rich with umtholo (wattle) trees. During the spring season, these trees would host a specific type of worm called “emanyamane”. The local people would harvest and feed on these worms, which were considered a seasonal delicacy. Over time, because of the abundance of emanyamane in the area and their importance to the community, the place came to be known as “Enyamane”, which eventually became Nyamane.

Sigengeni is an area that used to be for government farming projects. It is now a community whereby its people mostly do farming for sustainability.  

There was a salt river that ran across this area and the river was called Tibane. The area is known for its flat fertile land, which is good for farming.

This area has a rich history. There was a man known as Mgazi one of the people who were found ahead in the country traditionally known as Emakhandzambili, who had two sons named Zondwako and Luhleko. The sons migrated and Luhleko ended up in one area now known as Luhleko. And Zondwako ended up in another area which then became known as Zondwako. Established in 2006 and constructed in 2021, the Zondwako ICBC site is led by Pastor Jan Dube and is bringing hope to the area of Zondwako. With a Church, vibrant preschool and sustainability projects like crop farming, cattle and poultry farming, the Zondwako ICBC site is a beacon of light, transforming the community from within.
